About The

Instructor

Dr. Sahreen Alam

Founder and CEO of Dentabest INC.

Dr. Sahreen Alam (Dr. Sehar) is an experienced Dental Surgeon and dedicated online dental educator with over 12 years of teaching experience and more than 2000 successful students worldwide. She is highly trusted by students from top universities such as USC, UCLA, Tufts, UoFT, UOM, McGill, and more.

In her own words, “I am a dental educator dedicated to helping internationally trained dentists and dental students confidently navigate their path toward licensure and success. My journey began with a deep understanding of how overwhelming dental exams can feel — especially when you're far from home, adjusting to a new system, or striving to stand out in a competitive program. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to support both internationally trained dentists and students in U.S. and Canadian dental schools. I specialize in helping students prepare for major licensing and board exams, while also providing subject-specific support across dentistry and the basic medical sciences. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring hundreds of students, many of whom have gone on to secure top scores, get into competitive residency programs, and achieve their DDS degrees with confidence. My approach is simple: 👉 Don’t just study hard — study smart. I believe that success isn’t just about passing exams — it’s about truly understanding the material, thinking clinically, and building the confidence to thrive as a future dental professional. My goal is to be more than a tutor — I aim to be a coach, mentor, and cheerleader every step of the way. If you're ready to level up your preparation, I’d be honored to be part of your journey."

What Is the ADAT?

The Advanced Dental Admission Test (ADAT) is used by dental programs across the United States to evaluate applicants for advanced standing programs, postgraduate education, and specialty training. In Canada, it's also recognized as part of the IDAPP (International Dental Advanced Placement Program) pathway for admission in the Canadian Dental Schools to gain a DDS degree.

The exam is built around three sections:

Biomedical Sciences — the foundational science underlying clinical dental practice
Clinical Sciences — diagnosis, treatment planning, and case-based clinical reasoning
Data/Research Interpretation & Evidence-Based Dentistry — reading and interpreting clinical research, a section many candidates underestimate

Because ADAT scores are used by admissions committees in both countries, the exam carries real weight for anyone pursuing advanced training on either side of the border.

Who Is This Course For?

This program is built for:

01

Third- and fourth-year dental students planning ahead for advanced standing or postgraduate applications

02

Practicing dentists seeking specialty training in the USA

03

Internationally trained dentists applying for advanced standing programs in either country, including the IDAPP pathway in Canada

Whether your target program is in the US, the exam — and the preparation it takes to succeed on it — is the same starting point.
